ITEE College

Focused on Information Telecommunications And Electronics Engineering.

What is Information, Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering?

Information, Telecommunications and Electronics engineers apply scientific theory and engineering design to develop:

  • computer modelling tools to generate information used in communication, sciences and society (weather-mapping and statistics)
  • broadband capability and improve telecommunications' systems
  • hardware and software used in manufacturing, traffic & urban management, hospitals, government services and scientific organisations
  • systems for media broadcasting and sound, including antennas and wireless technologies
  • sophisticated electronics (medical equipment, aircraft systems, robotics) and control systems.

About the Information, Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering (ITEE) College

The Information, Telecommunications, and Electronics Engineering (ITEE) College encompasses disciplines that are integral to complex engineering products and systems, such as communications, manufacturing, information transfer and infrastructure.

The ITEE aims to support and promote the work of engineers in:

  • Communications engineering
  • Computer Systems engineering
  • Electronics engineering
  • Information Engineering
  • Software Engineering.

The ITEE College's work includes:

  • Setting standards of practice and providing mechanisms to enable their attainment.
  • Facilitating interaction with our peers and a diverse range of professionals with whom the ITEE Engineering team share common goals.
  • Providing analysis and assessment of ITEE-related infrastructure and publication of industry scorecards.
  • Providing a forum for the exchange of information on developments and issues around social and commercial interchange of information, the practice of commerce, business and industry space exploration and resources exploration.
  • Continuing Professional Development, including the annual Australian Software Engineering Conference (ASWEC).
