About Women in Engineering Queensland

Our vision is that engineering becomes an inclusive profession which values, supports and celebrates the contributions of women in the engineering team.

Our objectives

  • Attract women of all ages to engineering careers.
  • Retain women in engineering.
  • Support women throughout their engineering careers.
  • Celebrate the achievements of women in engineering

Committee Members

Our members are from a range of engineering disciplines and experience and include university students, graduates, young and established professionals. The committee is open to all engineers who want to develop solutions that make a difference.

Women in Engineering Queensland Division (WIEQ) committee 2017-2018 members include:

Meetings

Committee meetings are held on a monthly basis and all engineers are welcome. They are held at Engineering House, 447 Upper Edward Street, Brisbane QLD 4000 on the second Monday of the month at 6pm, however this is moved if it coincides with a public holiday.

In addition to the WIEQ committee which is based in Brisbane, there are Women in Engineering local groups in numerous regional areas, so please email us if you would like to be put in contact with a representative in your area.
