The Northern branch of Young Engineers Australia.

About Young Engineers Northern

Young Engineers Australia (YEA) is a group within Engineers Australia, who are in the first five or so years of their career or under the age of 35 years.

Young engineers now represent 52% of Engineers Australia total membership!

The YEA national committee consists of one representative from each of the nine Divisions of Engineers Australia. The role of YEA is to represent the needs of young engineers and to promote, encourage, and coordinate activities.

The Northern (Darwin) Division of the YEA includes students, associates, technologists, graduates and professionals. The Northern Committee organises various activities for its members to take part in, such as the annual Golf Day, social events, workshops and joint technical presentations.

We are also involved in promoting the engineering profession to school children through presentations and Science week activities.

The YEA is here for you, and here to make a difference. Remember that the profession is what YOU make it. Being a part of Engineers Australia and the YEA is the best way to shape your career and professional development.

YEA mission

We are committed to providing services that will be of use to our members' academic, personal and professional development. The group has a strong focus on promoting the Engineering profession to school students and the general community.

YEA Northern Committee

The Northern Division Young Engineers Committee is an enthusiastic group of engineers, under the age of 35, from an array of disciplines. We are always looking for motivated people to help out on the committee, so if you are new to Darwin, come along.
